Emma Madeline Ward, 81, of Hancock, died on Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Berkeley Springs Rehab & Nursing Center, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.

Born on Thursday, April 16, 1931, in Buck Valley, Pa., she was the daughter of Charles L. and Ruie L. Hendershot Ward.

She retired from Londontown Manufacturing. Prior to that she was employed by Jacobs Brothers.

She was a member of Hancock United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a son, Steven Ward, of Mc Connellsburg, Pa.; two brothers, Glenn Ward, of Warfordsburg, Pa., and Richard Ward, of Hancock; three sisters, Delma Carnell, of Hancock, Helen Barnhart, of Warfordsburg, Pa., and Mary Jean Young, of Berkely Springs, W.Va.

A graveside service will be at 2:20 p.m., on Tuesday, June 19,  at Buck Valley Memorial Cemetery, in Warfordsburg, Pa. Rev. Duane L. Jensen will officiate.
