Genevieve C. Nichols, age 98, of Warfordsburg, died Thursday, July 15, 2010 at her home.
Born January 8, 1912 in Michigan, she was the beloved daughter of the late Lyle and Ellen VanKuren Rix; and preceded by first husband John Eckley , second husband Anthony Glenkoski, and third husband Warren "Nick" Nichols.
She was a devoted member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Hancock, MD.
She is survived by one daughter, Nancy O. St. John, Berwin Heights, MD.; and one son Richard C. Eckley, New Lebanon, OH.; fourteen grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. Besides her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Ghon Eckley; and one sister, Virginia Williamson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 16 E. High Street, Hancock, MD., with burial following at Warfordsburg Presbyterian Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 18, at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St. Hancock, MD. from 2-5 p.m.
