    Hagerstown, Maryland

 

    Hazel F. McCusker, age 76, of E. Washington Street, died Tuesday February 9, 2010 at the Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown, MD.

    Born March 29, 1933 in Fulton County, Thompson Township, PA., she was the daughter of the late Joseph McClellan and Carrie Alice Diehl Divelbliss and the widow of Donald R McCusker, Sr., who died October 10, 1988 and whom she married July 6, 1951 at Hancock Grace Church of the Nazarene.

 

    She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Church of the Nazarene, Hancock, MD.

 

    She is survived by five daughters; Martha M. Yost of Berkeley Springs, WV., Brenda A. Stotler and spouse Randy, Vivian M. Herall and spouse Thomas, and Lisa J. Creek and spouse Matthew, all of Hancock, MD., Charlotte L. Miller and spouse Gerry of Hagerstown, MD., four sons; Donald R. McCusker, Jr. of Hedgesville, WV., Shelton H. McCusker  and spouse Tina of Hancock, MD., Chester A. McCusker Sr. and spouse Jackie of Little Orleans, MD., Bennie S. McCusker and spouse Kim  of Martinsburg, WV. In addition to her  children; one sister, Mary Smith of Bedford, PA.; three brothers, Charles Divelbliss, Joseph Divelbliss, Jr., both of Hancock, MD. and Herbert Divelbliss of Crystal Spring, PA.  She is also survived by twenty-seven grandchildren, eleven step-grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters; Edna Hull, Ruth Stotler, Shirley Divelbliss, five brothers; Curtis Divelbliss, Thurman Divelbliss, James Divelbliss, Homer Divelbliss and Harold Divelbliss.

 

    Very special thanks goes out  to her companion , Donald Riley for all the loving care and support shown to her .

 

    A service will be held Monday February 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Church of the Nazarene. Rev. Willis Swope and Pastor Hank Caton will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown, MD.

    The family will receive friends Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Grove Funeral Home, Hancock, MD. and at the church on Monday 10-11 a.m.

 

The family requests that memorial donations may be made to Grace Church of the Nazarene, c/ o Treasurer, 530 PA. Avenue, Hancock, MD., 21750.
