Big Cove Tannery, Pennsylvania

     Steven Ellis Swadley age 47 of Big Cove Tannery Road, died Saturday January 2, 2010 at the Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown, MD.

     Born July 5, 1962 in McConnellsburg, PA he was the son of Robert E. and Shirley A. Litton Swadley of Big Cove Tannery, PA.

     He was a 1980 graduate of Southern Fulton High School, Warfordsburg, PA.

     He was employed with B. Equip, Inc. in Farm Machinery sales and he was a self-employed farmer.

     He was a member and served as a Trustee of Damascus Christian Church, Big Cove Tannery, PA.

     Besides his parents he is survived by his wife, Betty J. Grosh Swadley whom he married September 29, 1988 at Damascus Christian Church, two sons, Benjamin Homer Swadley and wife, Olivia Hope Swadley of Big Cove Tannery, PA, Matthew Steven Swadley at home, one sister, Kathi A. Shreve and husband Kenneth T. Shreve of McConnellsburg, PA, grandmother, Violet R. Swadley of Needmore, PA and one granddaughter Grace Hope Swadley.

     A Memorial Service will be held Saturday January 16, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Damascus Christian Church, Rev. E. Loy Garber will officiate. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
