Hagerstown, Maryland

     Frank C. Strait, age 58 of Hagerstown, MD, died, Wednesday January 20, 2010 at the V.A. Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

     Born February 25, 1951, in Berkeley Springs, WV, he was the son of Robert Dean and Regina Michael Strait of Warfordsburg, PA.

     He was a 1969 graduate of Southern Fulton High School, Warfordsburg, PA.

     He was retired from the United States Air Force.

     Besides his parents he is survived by one daughter, Sheila Diane (Strait) Engle and husband Cliff, of Hagerstown, MD, his grandson, Jonathan Alan Strait, step-grandchildren, Paul Ryan Engle and Colleen Marie Engle, sister, Jean Elaine (Strait) Gregory and husband Gary, Needmore, PA,  nephew, Christopher Lynn Gregory and wife Kristie (Bivens), great-nieces, Grace and Ashlyn.

     Frank loved hunting and the great outdoors. He spent time in recent years helping make deliveries for the local food bank to those in need, as his health permitted.

     Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

    The family requests the omission of flowers and that contributions may be made to the V.A. Medical Center, 50 Irving Street N.W., Washington DC 20422
