The Grove-Rogowski Funeral Home is an independently owned and operated funeral home. It was founded by Howard Grove in 1951. His son, Richard, worked with him and took over in the 1970s. Current owner, Steven A. Rogowski, Jr., began working alongside Richard in 2016 nd purchased the business in 2023. We take pride in the service we provide families at one of the most difficult times in their lives.


Steven A. Rogowski, Jr., Funeral Director and Owner, was born and raised in Wyoming, Pennsylvania. He received his degree in Funeral Service Arts and Sciences from Simmons Institute of Funeral Service in Syracuse, New York in 2000. He became a licensed funeral director in 2001 and is licensed in multiple states including Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Steve began working alongside Richard Grove, at Grove Funeral Home, in 2016. Richard sold the funeral home to Steve in 2023.

 

Richard J. Grove, Funeral Director, received his degree from The Cincinnati College of Embalming in 1962 and has been a Maryland licensed funeral director since. He worked for his father, Howard Grove, at Grove Funeral Home and ambulance company and Joseph Gawler’s Sons in Washington, D.C. Richard purchased Grove Funeral Home from his father and was the sole owner until its sale in 2023.

 

Tina L. Crawford, Office Manager, was born and raised in Warfordsburg, PA. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting in 2006. She worked for the United States Postal Service for 16 years, left there to purchase Paul’s Photography in Hancock, MD. and to pursue creative endeavors. She has worked at the funeral home full-time since November 2021.
