Charles Bruce Mann, age 92, of Warfordsburg, Pa., passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at the Berkeley Springs Center nursing facility, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.

Born Sunday, November 30, 1924, in New Creek, W.Va., he was the son of the late Epsy Austin and Laura (Weis) Mann, and the husband, for seventy-two years, of Velma (Bishop) Mann.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War ll, and then became a self-employed farmer until he retired in 2000.

He was a member of the Buck Valley Christian Church, in Warfordsburg.

Charles loved to hunt.

He is survived by his wife, Velma; a daughter, Gloria Joan Tritle, of Needmore, Pa.; a son, Garry Bruce Mann and his wife, Suzanne, of Warfordsburg; four grandchildren, Dane, Todd and Vaughn Tritle and Michelle Kazazic; six great-grandchildren, Taya and Kenzie Kazazic, Rylie, Logan, Connor and Dillon Tritle; and three brothers, Melvin, Belvie and Larry Mann.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Darlene Mann; a grandson, Shawn Mann; a sister, Pauline Hixon; and two brothers, Albert and Marvin Mann.

The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md., on Thursday, August 31, 2017, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at the Buck Valley Christian Church, 2281 Harmonia Road, in Warfordsburg, on Friday, September 1, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Scott Gibbs officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining church cemetery, with Military Honors by the Tri-State Honor Guard.
