Douglas Gerald Shaw, age 63, of Warfordsburg, Pa., passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, Md., with his wife by his side.

He was born September 28, 1953 in Hagerstown, Md., to the late Gerald W. Shaw and B. Joan Garland Shaw.

Doug is survived by his wife of 33 years, Pamela Johnson Shaw; his mother, B. Joan Shaw of Warfordsburg; three sons, Douglas Shaw, Jr. (Beth) of Warfordsburg, Jamie Shaw (Leah), and Cody Shaw (Tiffany), both of Greencastle, Pa.; two grandchildren, Sophie Shaw and Madison Shaw; a sister, Jodi Fischer (Dave); a nephew, Dustin Fischer (Aimee); two great nieces, Daphnee and Willow Fischer; mother-in-law, Dorothy Johnson; brother-in-law, Steve Johnson (Barb); and numerous aunts, uncle, and cousins.

He was a 1971 graduate of Southern Fulton High School.

He was in the automobile business for 49 years, working since the age of 14 alongside his father at Shaw Motor Company in Hancock, Md.  Since the passing of his father in 2003, he served as President of Shaw Motor Company, Inc.  He had a great love of automobiles, from classic muscle cars to lifted 4x4 trucks.

He was of the Christian faith.

The family will receive at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, in Hancock, on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m., and from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Services will be held at Hancock United Methodist Church, 168 West Main Street, in Hancock, on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.  Pastor Michael Bynum will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Rehoboth United Methodist Church Cemetery, Tollgate Ridge Road, near Hancock.
