Elmer Leroy Shupp, Jr., age 76, of Hancock, died on Saturday, October 1, 2016, at the Winchester Medical Center, in Winchester, Va.

Born Wednesday, August 7, 1940, in Big Pool, Md., he was the son of the late Elmer Leroy, Sr. and Mary Roseann (McCarty) Shupp, and the husband of Janet W. (Gladhill) Shupp, whom he married June 5, 1963, in Clear Spring, Md.

He was a 1958 graduate of Clear Spring High School.

He was retired from C. Wm. Hetzer, Inc., where he was employed as a truck driver.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Daniel Shupp, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; one sister, Carolyn Reed; and two grandsons.

Services will be private.
