Mary Gladys Gray, age 81, of Needmore, Pa., died on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at the Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, Pa.

Born July 26, 1935, in Warfordsburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Jeremiah and Ida (Gordon) Golden; and the wife of Clayton E. Gray, whom she married on September 15, 1956.

She graduated from Warfordsburg High School.

She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Christian Church.

She was retired from the Southern Fulton High School, in Warfordsburg, where she was a cook.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Tammy Garland, of Needmore, and Tilly Hann, of Big Cove Tannery, Pa.; two brothers, Richard Golden, of Warfordsburg and George Golden, of West Virginia; four sisters, Barbara Young, of Breezewood, Pa., April Morse, of Clearville, Pa., Rachel Snyder, of Hancock, Md. and Florence Ruppenthal, of Needmore; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Nancy McCarty, Edith Shaw and Margaret Mellott; and three brothers, Bobby Golden, Gerald Golden and Sylvester Golden.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., at the Pleasant Grove Christian Church, 3013 Pleasant Grove Road, Warfordsburg. Rev. Denver Plessinger and Rev. Richard Bernhard will officiate. Burial will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church on Friday, February 17, 2017 from 3:00 until 5:00 and 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., and one hour prior to services on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md., 21750 to help defray the funeral expenses.
