Mildred Dorothy Dixon, age 71, of Little Orleans, died on Thursday, November 26, 2015, at the home of her daughter, Karen Manning, in Hancock, Md.

Born July 28, 1844, in Oldtown, Md., she was the daughter of the late Herman and Suella Fletcher Hall.

She was a Christian.

She was formerly employed as a cook at Little Sandy’s Restaurant, in Hancock.

Besides her daughter, Karen, she is survived by one son, William D. Dixon, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; two sisters, Arlene Barns, of Flintstone, Md., and Anna Grace Tucker, of N.C.; two brothers, Herman Hall, Jr., of Cumberland, Md., and Bobby Hall, of Thurmont, Md.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements were by the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md.
