Rosalie Faith (Whitacre) Wyant, age 73, of Little Orleans, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 2, 2016, at the Winchester Medical Center, in Winchester, Va.

Born Saturday, March 6, 1943, in Cumberland, Md., she was the daughter of the late Lloyd G. and Dorothy M. Carr Whitacre, and the wife of Charles Wyant, whom she married on June 4, 1971, in Hancock, Md.

Rosalie worked at the Londontown Manufacturing Co., in Hancock, for many years.

She was a member of the Hancock Assembly of God Church, where she worked as the Church Secretary for the past thirty years, as well as the Office Manager and Church Treasurer. She also held many other positions at the Church over the years.

Rosalie loved to crochet prayer shawls for the sick, and hats and mittens for the homeless.

In addition to the love of her life, her husband Charlie, and her beloved dog, Cricket, she is survived by a sister, Sharon Nunley and husband, Kevin, of Slanesville, W.Va., three brothers, Jimmie Whitacre and wife, Ginny, of Bloomery, W.Va., Keith Whitacre and wife Elece, of Paw Paw, W.Va., and Brian Scott Whitacre and wife, Kathy, of Augusta, W.Va.; two adopted grandsons, Joel and Nathan Jefferies; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Hancock Assembly of God Church, in Hancock, Md., on Wednesday, October 5, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Donald Preston and Rev. Robert Jeffries will officiate. Burial will follow in the Tonoloway Primitive Baptist Cemetery.
