Thomas Eugene Thompson, Sr., age 70, of Needmore, Pa., passed away at his home on Sunday, August 2, 2020.
Born April 6, 1950, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., he was the son of the late Earlston Eugene Thompson and Naomi Irene (Yost) Newman; and the husband of Mary S. (Schriever) Thompson.
He was a U.S. Army veteran. He had formerly been employed by Lightning Transportation (Trucking) Co. in Hagerstown, Md.
In addition to his wife, Mary, he is survived by his step-father, Richard Newman, of Warfordsburg, Pa.; one daughter, Michele Tritle and her husband, Vaughn, of Needmore; one son, Thomas E. Thompson, Jr., of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; two step-daughters, Wanda Zies, and her husband, Jack, of Needmore, and Tania Stotler and her fiancé, Charles Meiser, of Needmore; one step-son, Dennis Stotler and his wife, Kelly, of Needmore; nine grandchildren, Dillon Tritle, David Stotler, Kenny Trail, Vanessa Walters, Joab Stotler, Joshua Walters, Ayla Stotler, Ashley Dulaney, and Jack Zies, III; and five great-grandchildren, Kaidence Trail, Dominic Stotler, AyRihanna Trail, Blandon Trail, and Trinity Zies
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Thompson.
Services will be private, at the convenience of the family.
