Troy Dalton Large, Jr., age 62, died on Monday, July 4, 2016, at the Meritus Medical Center, in Hagerstown, Md.
Born June 30, 1954, in Clintwood, Va., he was the son of the late Troy Dalton Large Sr. and Elizabeth Ann (Farmer) Large.
He had been formerly employed by Tyco Industries, as a machinist.
He was a 1972 graduate of Glen Burnie High School, in Glen Burnie, Md.
He was a past member of ABATE, and the NRA.
He was an avid Harley Davidson motorcyclist; a woodworker; and a hunter.
He is survived by his companion, Barbara Greb, of Warfordsburg; daughters, Jessica Dawn Large, of Hancock, Md., and Valerie Jo Bivens and husband, Kenny, of Big Cove Tannery, Pa.; a step-son, Andrew Greb and wife, Shannon, of Pasadena, Md.; a step-daughter, Jennifer Greb, of Odenton, Md.; a sister, Terry Savanna Large, of Warfordsburg; brothers, Alan Randolph Large, of Warfordsburg, and Garland Burg and wife, Annie, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; grandchildren, Elijah Dalton Strait, Calie Jo Large, Austin Marshall Large, Malea Smith, Tyler Smith, and Caleb Cole; one great-grandchild, Chandler Queen; as well as aunts and uncles; three nieces; and two great-nieces. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Bear.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one nephew, Steven Carder.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 8, 2016, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md.
Memorial Services will be announced at a later date.
