Florence Jansen

Florence Elizabeth Jansen, age 77, of Warfordsburg, Pa., passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021, at the Fulton County Medical Center, in McConnellsburg, Pa.

Born November 15, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Jerome Shimek; and the widow of Richard James Jansen, Sr., whom she married in February, 1962, and who passed away in September, 2005.

Florence was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, in Hancock, Md.; and was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons, Richard J. Jansen, Jr., Timothy B. Jansen, and Daniel R. Jansen, all of Warfordsburg; and two grandsons, Alex and Scott Jansen.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters.

Her funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at 12:00 p.m., at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 3738 Resley Road, in Hancock. Rev. Kenneth Stotlemyer will be officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
