Mary Jane Stuckey, age 79, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019, at the War Memorial Hospital, in Berkeley Springs.
Born in Hancock, Md., on August 12, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Roy Calvin and Bridgett A. (Weller) Moats.
She was a 1958 graduate of Hancock High School.
She was employed for forty years with the Berkeley Springs State Park as a masseuse, and with the Highs Dairy store, in Berkeley Springs, for several years.
She especially loved her pets, as well as crocheting and listening to country music.
She is survived by one daughter, Debra L. Miller and her husband, Kenneth W., from Hedgesville, W.Va.; one son, Gregory L. Stuckey, also of Hedgesville; three grandchildren, Amanda and John Miller and Crystal Michael; seven great-grandchildren, Kiersten, Madison, Michael, Makayla, Connor, Chloe, and Heaven; two great-great-grandchildren, Levi and Ryker; two brothers, Ray C. and Herman B. Moats; and four sisters, Betty J. Hixon, Veriee Weller, Etta Mae Younker, and Rosalie C. Ward.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Pittman and Shelva Jean Crouse; and three brothers, Homer E., Leroy E. and Paul J. Moats, Sr.
The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St., Hancock, Md., on Monday, December 9, 2019, from 6 until 8:00 p.m., and at the church one hour prior to funeral services on Tuesday.
Funeral services will be held at the Stone Bridge Church of the Brethren, 14904 Orchard Ridge Road, Hancock, Md., on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Harry Strite will officiate. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
