Sheridan Mellott

Sheridan Harold “Bean” Mellott, Jr., 76, Warfordsburg, PA., passed away, Sunday, November 6, 2022, at his home.

Born October 25, 1946, in York, PA., he was the son of the late Sheridan H. Mellott, Sr., and Pearl (Truax) Mellott, and the husband of Shelia Buterbaugh Mellott.

He was a 1964 Graduate of Southern Fulton High School, Warfordsburg, PA.

He served in the United States Air Force, having served in Vietnam.

He loved hunting, fishing, woodworking, gardening, and spending time with his family and friends.

He will be sadly missed by his companion, Sophie Dyller.

In addition to his wife of 37 years, he is survived by five children, Jeffrey Murray, Nebraska, Stephanie Mellott, McConnellsburg, PA., Tracy Brown, McConnellsburg, PA., Angela Mellott, Berkeley Springs, WV., and Tara Mellott, McConnellsburg, PA.; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Barry Mellott, Hustontown, PA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Beverly Hess; and two brothers, Eugene and Terry Mellott.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
